Just re-read the perfect and wonderful Take Two by @raina-at, a re-imagining of Sherlock & John getting together via theatre, brilliantly adapting the situation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Every beat is pitch perfect, the emotions pulsing, the technical details deft and engrossing. Wonderfully funny theatre stories. (the sheep!) Even a fiendishly friendly use of Mary.
Raina - I found myself going back and forth about John and Sherlock as Anne Elliot and Frederick Wentworth. They each have aspects of the characters - Sherlock with his big break and pushy older brother, John with his ‘engagement.’ Tho his dependability is all Anne. What were your thoughts on it as you wrote?
It looks like you had such a blast writing. And drew on your irl experiences. Did it bring back lots of memories for you?

I did have a blast writing it, especially given that it was May 2020 and we were sitting at home all the time.
Both John and Sherlock have echoes of Anne and Wentworth, it’s difficult to answer who is who. I actually need to come back to this tomorrow because right now I’m at work on my phone and you deserve more details than I’m currently able to supply.
